Before sending us your photos please pay attention to the following camera tips10 USEFUL HINTS WHEN TAKING YOUR PHOTGRAPHS You've seen the property programmes on TV and the many photos in Estate agents' windows, in the leaflets and the 'books' that are delivered daily. Take your photos in a similar way, eg: 1. Choose your rooms. Ideally Kitchen and/or lounge, main bedroom, garden, front of house, bathroom. 2. Tidy up. De-clutter (technical term!). At least put those clothes, dishes, garden tools, children's toys, family photos out of sight; smooth the wrinkles out of the sofa and bedspread/duvet and clean surfaces 3. Turn all the lights on - even if there is bright sunshine outside - and open the curtains fully. 4. Take up a position at a corner of the room or in the doorway and towards, not away from, the window. 5. Keep the camera flash on. 6. Steady the camera, or your supporting arm/elbow, against a wall/doorframe. Turn on the camera's image stabilisation system. 7. Set your camera's picture resolution to one setting above the minimum - this will allow an enlarged view on the website without blurring. 8. Send 4-5 photos to: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it with your name and (advertised) property address. 9. When you are attaching the photos to your email check the size of the attachments, don't send attachments (photos) of more than 3Mb in size. Send the rest in another email and title the first as '1 of 2' and the second as '2 of 2'. 10. Also, bear in mind that when a potential purchaser comes to view your property he/she/they expect it to look like the photographs you have taken so do all the above (and more) for their visit. 11. Please send your photos SEPARTELY from your word or text documents. Remember these photos will the give the first, and possibly only, impression of your property so take your time with the composition and make them as good as you can.
Good photographs will give your property the edge over similar ones in your area and will get more viewings. |
